The first development week for an electric new reimagining of Animal Farm is well underway! Directed by the inimitable Lara Krestes, dramaturgy by Keziah Warner, with a cast that includes Emily Milledge, Zak Pidd, Chanella Macri, and reunited with her Lil Emps buddy, Liam Maguire (of the #dailyliam fame). This is going to be a special one. Watch out.
OzAsia Festival Writing China panel - This Is The Love I Give
On October 7, Alice was asked to read excerpts from a new translation of This Is The Love You Gave Me by the Chinese bestselling author Anthony Ma at the OzAsia festival in Adelaide. Along with her collaborator Felix Ching Ching Ho, they selected 3 excerpts from the curious new title and presented the reading in 3 segments, both in English and Chinese with surtitles. Alice was also asked to stay on for the panel interview along with Anthony, moderated by Nicholas Jose.

For The Ones Who Walk Away
The beautiful installation piece Alice helped develop and worked on at St. Martin's, For The Ones Who Walk Away, has walked away with the Best Live Art award at the Melbourne Fringe. This piece based on the ideas from the Ursula Le Guin short story, involved over 60 children aged between 6 and 17. Taking over every room at Siteworks, audiences were invited to wonder through this world of feathers and rocks, light and dark, and forced to confront with some probing questions of moral obligation and necessary evil.

ABC Radio RN Books and Arts
The morning after opening night, Alice, along with director Wang Chong, and castmate (and stage brother) Yuchen Wang joined Georgia Moodie for a segment on ABC radio RN's Books and Arts program. Alice and Yuchen also performed an excerpt from the play. This was the first interview that was edited and cut together and therefore the only one so far that Alice feels fully comfortable for you to listen to, have a go here.
