This will be my third collaboration with Michele Lee in just as many years (with another one to come later this year!), you can tell we like working together. She welcomed us into her home, cooked us lunch, baked us cakes, and we pried apart and laughed over stories and writing. What a glorious way to start a year!
A Tale of Two Offices
Very boring post photo wise, but monumental life wise. This year, I’ve taken up 2 part-time positions. Stability in the arts! I’ve started at my gig as the new Artistic Associate at St Martins, and I’ve also embarked on a journey as faculty at VCA Theatre. I’ve got two standing desks, too many computers, and a lot of beautiful young people to work with. Between the two gigs, I’m working with young people aged between 5 and 30, which is quite incredible. It’s bound to be an exciting year, but maybe with not as many posts as I rack up the admin hours.
ENLIGHTENMENT IN PERTH!!!
We have arrived, and we are loved. We’ve had some tremendous reception here and having the best time all living in the same AirBNB together. If I ever wanted to know which goofballs I can easily spend a week in a house with, it’s these goofballs. Thank you fam. I had the time of my life.
Englightenment remount rehearsals
After 19 months of covid postponements, we are finally ready to go to Perth. I’m back with my favourite goofballs and having the time of my life. Bring on Perth tour!!
New position...
I’m so so proud to announce that I’ve accept an offer to be the new Artistic Associate of St Martins Youth Arts! As you know I’ve been a workshop artist with St Martins for the past 6 years, and I’ve worked closely with a number of previous Artistic Associates, including the most recent and the formidable Katrina Cornwell. I hope I can step into those shoes and supporting this beautiful company, which has held so much of Melbourne’s artists in such a beautiful way for over 40 years.
