We’ve been working on The Word for a while now. Last year, in November, the adult artists got together and tested out some ideas. And now, in terms 2 and 3 of 2023, we will work with the young people who will make up the ensemble for 2 hours every week, and one Sunday once a month, to work towards a showing, which will be the building blocks of the full production in May 2024. It’ll be slow but worth it.
St Martins wins Green Rooms!!
We rushed the stage with over a dozen young people and accepted the awards for Best Production as well as Best Sound/Composition for Gene Tree! Grace also performed spectacularly and was the stand out for the evening. St Martins really showed up! I will forever be on the team of these young people.
Bees in Cairns!
This is only the beginning of me traveling with my beloved Polyglot. Bees performed at the Cairns Children’s Festival and we were the happiest bees, workers by day, and loungers/seafood eaters by night. It was truly an amazing time. (I also got to take my very first polyglot album cover!)
Pram People at Abbotsford Convent
Before we begin the touring journey with Pram People, we are refreshing our memories and testing the waters closer to home. Come for a weekend of Pram People!
BEES! (at Moomba)
My journey with Polyglot continues as I get trained into another touring show directed by my dear dear friend Emily Tomlins. I will be traveling with Bees in a few months as well so I’m well stoked to be getting this trial run in at ArtPlay.
